Direct Hit was the classic track that came out on the Aquasky LP ‘Stayfresh’ sampler vinyl in Australia only. Played by all the big names in the scene back in 2004, this year the label bosses Aquasky grab the tune back from Moving Shadow and turn in a summer funk fest in a similar vein as ‘Take It To The Floor’ and ‘Wheels Of Steel’. A total feel good tune.
On the flip and new boys Control Z team up with Far Too Loud to put together a total anthem which fits perfectly onto the 777 label and into the Aquasky DJ sets. Blissed chords, drifty vocals and a bottom end to be proud of ‘Whole Lotta Hate’ is the Led Zep of breakbeat tunes and makes a perfect flipside to ‘Direct Hit’.
