Dan Merlot producer and creator for Crash Berlin has been a vital player in the breaks-electro scene in California for the last 10 years .Ever since organizing an ongoing series of successfull events in San Francisco back in 1994 that included top break deejays ,performance artists and live music Merlot then expanded to hosting the same type of events in Tokyo and Los Angeles.While out in Tokyo Merlot hosted t.v. shows such as MTV countdown,BBC specials on the Tokyo music scene and the popular Megalamaniacs on the music channel Space Shower T.V.He also toured and played on Japans biggest electronica festivals . Producer,deejay and musician Merlot has produced tracks with people such as AQUASKY ,BASSNECTAR, PERRY FARRELL ,MAD PROFFESSER ,MILLA JOVOVICH and KOOL KEITH, FUNK MONSTA tc.With these projects and
deejaying Merlot has played alongside ,toured,opened for or collaborated with such types as Lee Scratch, Aphex Twin,Dj Spooky, Janes Addiction , Kool Keith,Dj Tsuyoshi, Freaky Chakra etc. He was also the main deejay for the 2003 30 city Lollapalooza summer tour.
